32nd Annual Antique Photo & Postcard Shows: Sunday, March 15

Authors of recent photo history books, free appraisals of antique photos, and a focus on military images will be featured among 130+ exhibitor sales tables at the 32nd Annual Spring D.C. Antique Photo and Postcards Show 8:30 am-4 pm Sunday at the Holiday Inn Rosslyn, 1900 N. Ft. Myer Dr., Arlington, VA.

Recent authors to exhibit books include Jeremy Rowe, who penned "Arizona Stereographs" and Philip Nathanson, who authored "The Continent Stereographic Company". Both are lavishly illustrated volumes published in later 2104.

Appraisals will be offered by several experts, among whom will be Wes Cowan, one of the appraisers appearing regularly on PBS “Antiques Roadshow.” Customers should first bring items for appraisal to the admissions desk at the front of the elevators to the Rosslyn Ballroom, where the shows are being held on the second floor. Likewise, customers with interesting military images through WWI can bring them for scanning for possible future inclusion in "Military Images" magazine Ask for editor and publisher Ron Coddington at the admissions desk.

The DC Antique Photo and Postcard Shows open with an 8:30 AM $25 preview admission and continue 10 AM to 4 PM with a $10 public admission, which also allows admission to the postcard show at 8:30. After 1p.m. students with ID will be admitted free. The hotel is walking distance from Georgetown and only one block from the Rosslyn station on Metro's orange and blue lines.  Parking is free.

The 32-year old photo show is in its seventh year of management by Diverse Markets Management, a D.C. company. The related postcard show was added in 2012.
