WASHINGTON, DC -Expansion of the annual spring D.C. Antique Photo Show to include a second sales room devoted to postcard exhibitors was jointly announced today by Diverse Markets Management (DMM), a D.C. firm in its fourth year of managing the 28 year old show; and Jeff Bradfield, a veteran Virginia postcard show promoter.

The combined 29th annual D.C. Antique Photo and Postcard Shows will be held 9:30 AM to 4 PM, Sunday, March 11, 2012, at the Holiday Inn Rosslyn, 1900 N. Ft. Myer Dr., Arlington, VA 22209.

"We felt we needed another attraction to add to the mix and postcards seemed perfect for our show, which has always been devoted to images," DMM Show Manager Tom Rall said. "And certainly the majority of postcards feature photography along with other collectible artist-created imagery."

Rall said he approached Bradfield, whom he met while antiquing in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley during the 1980s, with the idea for the combined show earlier this year.

Bradfield, a life-long antiques dealer who "got my first tax number at 11," had scheduled his 26th Annual Shenandoah Valley Postcard Show in Harrisonburg on July 30 and 31. "I had been thinking the D.C. area needed a postcard specialty show," he said, "and the photo show had a good reputation so it seemed like a good match."

Bradfield also manages Rolling Hills Antique Mall in Harrisonburg. DMM also manages other markets, including The Flea Market at Eastern Market and Downtown Holiday Market in Washington.

The DC Antique Photo Show opens with a 9:30 AM $25 preview admission and continues 11 AM to 4 PM with a $10 public admission. The postcard show is $10 beginning at 9:30 AM. The hotel is walking distance from Georgetown and only one block from the Rosslyn station on Metro's orange and blue lines.
