WASHINGTON, DC - Expansion of the annual spring D.C. Antique Photo Show to include a third sales room devoted to contemporary photographers was announced today by Diverse Markets Management (DMM), a D.C. firm in its fourth year of managing the 28 year old show.

"We may eventually rename the show," said DMM Show Manager Tom Rall. It would be an all-inclusive theme, perhaps "Vintage Images: Daguerreotype to Digital." The combined 29th annual D.C. Antique Photo and Postcard Shows will be held 9:30 AM to 4 PM, Sunday, March 11, 2012, at the Holiday Inn Rosslyn, 1900 N. Ft. Myer Dr., Arlington, VA 22209.

Noting that DMM announced addition of a postcards room in July, Rall said the show has always been devoted to images, "And certainly the majority of postcards feature photography along with other collectible artist-created imagery. Adding contemporary photographers seemed a natural for the mix

"We hope to feature some photographers who work in historical processes, even daguerreotypes and film," he continued. "And we'll also try to recruit artistic photographers who exhibit at our other shows." DMM also manages The Flea Market at Eastern Market every Sunday on Capitol Hill and The Downtown Holiday Market, which begins a three-week run Friday, Dec. 2.

The DC Antique Photo and Postcard Shows open with a 9:30 AM $25 preview admission and continue 11 AM to 4 PM with a $10 public admission. The postcard show is $10 beginning at 9:30 AM. The hotel is walking distance from Georgetown and only one block from the Rosslyn station on Metro's orange and blue lines.
